Addressing IMC’26 as Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Irum Anjum congratulated Minhaj University Lahore and CRIMA for organizing a timely and impactful conference that brings together scholars from diverse disciplines including maritime affairs, AI, data analytics, literature, and climate sciences. She emphasized that maritime and water challenges are not confined to one sector or country but are collective global concerns requiring shared responsibility. Highlighting the importance of SDG 13 (Climate Action), she stressed that ocean sustainability cannot be discussed without understanding the complete water cycle and ecosystem, including the impact of melting glaciers. She encouraged participants to leave the conference with at least one transformative idea that can contribute to a better and more sustainable Pakistan.
