Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore, hosted its inaugural High Achievers’ Ceremony to honour and celebrate students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance throughout their degree programmes.
The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Iram Anjum, Principal, Kinnaird College for Women, and attended by Dr. Kalsoom Akhtar, Vice Principal; Academic Deans; Deputy Registrar; Heads of Departments; faculty members; students; and their parents.
The proceedings commenced with recitations from the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible, followed by the College Anthem and the National Anthem of Pakistan. The programme also featured video presentations showcasing Kinnaird’s dedicated faculty, vibrant campus community, and continued commitment to the empowerment of women.
A special segment of the ceremony highlighted Kinnaird’s Core Curriculum initiative, which complements academic learning with practical skills and aims to prepare students for life beyond the classroom. Ms. Irfa Yasir, a student of BS Accounting and Finance, spoke about the initiative and its role in supporting students’ personal and professional development.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Iram Anjum highlighted the significance of the event as the first High Achievers’ Ceremony in Kinnaird’s history. She emphasised the importance of recognising and celebrating students’ achievements during their academic journey and acknowledged the valuable contributions of faculty, staff, management, and parents in supporting student success.
Certificates were presented to high-achieving students from various Bachelor’s and MPhil programmes in recognition of their academic excellence, dedication, and commitment to their studies.
Special recognition was also accorded to the highest GPA achievers. Syeda Maheen Bukhari secured the highest Bachelor’s CGPA of 3.94, while Meerab, Anza Rahman, and Ifra jointly achieved the highest MPhil CGPA of 4.00.
The ceremony concluded with heartfelt congratulations to all the high-achieving students and appreciation for their parents, faculty members, and the wider Kinnaird community for their continued support in nurturing a culture of academic excellence.
