Kinnaird College for Women solemnly observed Youm-e-Istehsal on 5 August 2026 to express solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir through a series of commemorative and academic activities.

The observance commenced at 9:00 a.m. with a moment of silence, honoring the resilience and steadfastness of the people of Kashmir. This was followed by a solidarity walk led by Principal Dr. Iram Anjum and Vice Principal Dr. Kalsoom Akhtar, alongside faculty, staff, and students, reaffirming the College’s collective support and unity on the occasion.

As part of the day’s program, the College organized a webinar titled “Perspectives on Kashmir: Historical Roots and Modern Dynamics.” The session was conducted by distinguished faculty members Dr. Asia Mukhtar and Ms. Bushra Jabeen, who examined the historical background and contemporary dimensions of the Kashmir issue. The webinar encouraged thoughtful dialogue, critical analysis, and informed discussion among more than 100 participants.
