Kinnaird College for Women commemorated Minority Day Week on 10 August 2026 with a reflective and meaningful event celebrating the invaluable contributions of minority communities to the creation, development, and progress of Pakistan.

The event was graced by Principal Prof. Dr. Iram Anjum and Vice Principal Dr. Kalsoom Akhtar, with active participation from faculty, staff, and students. A thought-provoking video featuring non-Muslim officers highlighted their patriotism, dedication, and service to the nation.

A key highlight of the event was a panel discussion titled “From Creation to Development of Pakistan: The Role of Minorities in Nation-Building.” The discussion featured Dr. Kalyan Singh, Ms. Tasneem Niazi, and Ms. Samar Aaroon, and was moderated by Dr. Waseem Anwar. The panel explored the historical and contemporary role of minorities in Pakistan, their contributions to national development, challenges and representation, and the importance of fostering national unity and equal citizenship.

An interactive Q&A session further engaged participants in a meaningful dialogue on inclusion, diversity, equal rights, and the shared responsibility of building a harmonious society.

In her address, Principal Prof. Dr. Iram Anjum reflected on the profound strength of the motherland that binds us all as Pakistanis—beyond differences and identities, and through a shared sense of belonging and love for Pakistan.

The event concluded with a token of appreciation ceremony and a group photograph, symbolizing solidarity, harmony, and collective commitment to a more inclusive Pakistan.
