The 3rd edition of TechFusion, organized by Kinnaird Computer Science Department in collaboration with IEEE Kinnaird Student Branch, IEEE WIE Kinnaird Chapter and Kinnaird Computer Science Club was held on the 21st and 22nd of January, 2026. Over 700 hundred students participated in exciting activities, ranging from challenging competitions to inspiring workshops, encompassing both technical and non-technical domains.
The technical competitions consisted of Flash Coding, Cybersecurity, Designathon, Poster Display, and Idea Pitch. The non-technical modules were Scavenger Hunt and Escape Room. Additionally the event offered three workshops for Freelancing, Career Counseling and Game Development so that students would gain hands-on experience and insights into the industry.
The two-day event kicked off with an energizing opening ceremony, welcoming students from Kinnaird College for Women and beyond. The keybote speakers Mr. Usman ur Rehman Ahmed, Vice President Cloud Applications Development and GenAI Lead at System Limited, and Mr. Furqan Aziz, CEO at InvoZone, motivated attendees and updated them on modern advancements.
The ceremony also marked the commencement of SheStrike 2.0, an all-girls gaming platform that aimed to empower women in a male-dominated field. The event further featured a passionate and moving play, organized in collaboration with Najmuddin Dramatics Society to add a creative and entertaining flair.
The second day was as action-packed as the first, featuring a session by Mr. Sarfraz Raza, CEO at SpeedProgramming. The closing ceremony was highlighted by the presence of a number of guests, including Mr. Muhammad Sannan Akbar, Head Volunteer Management Department at Alkhidmat Foundation, and Hammad Pervaiz, a founder and Ex-Advisor to Prime Minister of Pakistan on Science and Technology. To bring TechFusion 3.0 to a close, a stellar open mic performance left a lasting impression on all attendees.
TechFusion 3.0 provided a dynamic and engaging platform for students from diverse backgrounds, bringing then together to create, innovate, and explore beyond the boundaries of technology and creativity.
