M.Phil Education
The aim of the curriculum is to enhance a deeper understanding in the field of Education as well as development of skills and capabilities required to succeed in the field. The program will also focus on research that will contribute to the discipline and further add to the existing body of knowledge.
This program is designed for individuals who plan to enter the field of education and as well as for those individuals who are already working in the field and have a desire to enhance their knowledge and strengthen their research skills. The program invites learners who are excited about challenges to further develop their critical thinking, excel in their own learning as well as contribute to the field through the development of new body of knowledge through research.
Our vision is to empower pre-service teachers to contribute to the field of education in an innovative and enduring manner.
This program aims at developing committed, creative and skilful teachers who exhibit the highest standards of ethics and professional development. The program includes a research-based curriculum, a well-structured teaching practicum, and a range of innovative pedagogies.
Admission Requirments
Qualifications:
- 04 years B.Ed. (Hons) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 OR 60% marks in Masters. The applicants should have done their Graduation/Masters in Education /TESOL/ ELT.
- All candidates must appear for KC Graduate Assessment Test.
- Only short listed candidates will be called for the Interview.

Research Thesis
An M.Phil candidate who has completed her course work with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 must present and pass the oral proposal defense examination before she is allowed to carry out her Masters research. On passing the thesis proposal defense the student must carry out a research study which is described in a thesis. She must successfully defend the completed work in an oral examination involving a presentation and question answer session in the presence of an external examiner.
