BS Physics
Physics is an important and one of the basic sciences in the world under natural philosophy. It has an extensive use in different fields of life for various purposes. Our teachers are at the fore front of latest developments in range of Physics. The staff is fully qualified and eager to get involved and help students where needed. Our Graduates are equipped with knowledge needed for wide range of career paths
The dynamic four years program covers a wide range of courses from classical and quantum physics to the latest techniques of applied physics and electronic devices. The courses are developed on concept learning and problem solving skills. Lab work will educate the students and promote the understanding of Physics. With emerging research aptitude, our courses offer an intellectual challenge and provide the students with practical skills and ability to solve real life problems.
The vision of the physics department is to prepare Graduates who are self-confident in their capabilities and understanding of Physics. The department intends to produce Graduates for a successful career in the industry, and to provide a strong foundation in physics upon which specialization and interest in research is developed. The department aspires for the leadership role in pursuit of excellence in the frontier of knowledge and research leading to future technological advances. It also strives to enhance Kinnaird college’s tradition of contributing to the female work force in every field of life.
The mission of physics department is to achieve excellence in academics, research and creative activities. To impart a higher understanding of skills, knowledge and integrity in Graduates, who distinguish themselves by their professional competence, ethical rectitude and research entrepreneurship. Also, to provide quality education in a conductive learning environment by equipping the individuals with intellectual and technological tools necessary to meet the challenges of the future.
