Law studies have become increasingly popular and today the profession offers tremendous career scope and prospects for the youth. Keeping in mind the importance of this for young women, Kinnaird College felt a compelling need to introduce law at Bachelor’s level.
This five years LL.B Hons. degree is designed for students seeking a challenging and rigorous, interdisciplinary exposure to law and its related disciplines. While the focal point is the Pakistani legal system, the teaching methodology encompasses a critical and comparative approach to broaden perspectives and sharpen analytical skills of the students. Nadira Hassan Law Department offers an extensive curriculum, emphasizing on development of skills in courses such as legal writing, drafting, advocacy and legal argumentation. Kinnaird is also the first women only law college in the Punjab providing intensive legal study and research opportunities.
Nadira Hassan Law Department seeks to prepare students for different positions in the field of Law from advocates to Judges while inculcating in them the spirit of the noble profession and to develop legal acumen. These goals are promoted by a program of academic excellence combined with practical experience from our faculty and also from the experts in the field.
Nadira Hassan Law Department has threefold mission:
- To foster the creativity, advocacy skills and intellectual discipline, that will prepare its Graduates for the top standards of professional proficiency in the practice of law in a global unpredictable environment. The Law department plans to achieve this mission through an extensive and challenging curriculum, tutoring in legal writing and research.
- To nurture and promote a broad range of legal yet interdisciplinary learning. Preparing students to work at the cutting edge of its field, enhances the development of law and legal doctrine, and deepens society’s understanding of law and its role in society. The Law Department seeks to achieve this mission through support for a wide range of writing, legal research and other intellectual activities, and through maintenance and constant improvement of a law library suited to the demands of an excellent research institution.

The Law Department seeks to achieve this mission by following its educational aims in the context of a competent, qualified and diverse faculty. Law Department seeks to instill rigorous professional ethics in its students.
Our vision is to become one of the best-known Law schools at national and international level by offering educational excellence and by developing Graduates to become effective advocates and compassionate legal counselors. As a women institute, we recognize the important role of women in creativity, intelligence, and ingenuity in the construction of society and culture. Nadira Hassan Law School intends to adopt interdisciplinary perspectives to be integrated into the law school curriculum and undoubtedly will be a part of the scholarship of many faculty members. Law school intends to initiate law Clinic to instill practical experience in our students. As a law school, we are committed to a healthy and respectful environment of free intellectual inquiry and exchange, and the protection of freedom of thought.
Admission Requirments
Qualifications:
FA/F.Sc or equivalent with minimum 60% marks OR A-level in three main subjects (no subsidiary) with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR Grade 12 with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate and have passed the LAT entry test conducted by HEC (passing marks 50). The admissions will be made strictly on merit and will be subject to general admission regulations of the College
Degree Requirments
To receive Bachelor of Laws degree, a student must complete a total of 166 credit hours with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.

Active Citizenship Program
Active Citizenship program offered by Kinnaird College in collaboration with British Council and HEC is a social leadership training program that promotes intercultural dialogue and community-led social development. It is a mandatory requirement for the completion of underGraduate degree and based on two semesters. All students will study the theoretical portion through different activities starting in their 3rd semester. They will plan their social action projects in 4th semester and implement it in the field.
