BS English Language & Literature

This dynamic program spread over four years provides in-depth knowledge of the various genres of literature beginning from the middle ages till the present time. It encompasses works of writers from all over the globe with a special focus on Post-colonial, South-Asian and Pakistani literature. The program is innovative and intensive, with analytical reading and research work to prepare students well for academic scholarship.

The BS English Language & Literature program envisions empowerment of women through quality education enabling them to become outstanding and productive members of society. It further endeavors to create intellectual, critical and research oriented students who can face any challenge posed by the contemporary world.

The mission of the BA Honors in English Literature program is to educate students in the knowledge and skills of literature, prepare them for various other fields related to the humanities discipline, and enable them to pursue advanced studies in English Literature. It further aims to inculcate higher order thinking as well as critical and research skills within the student body and teaching faculty.

Admission Requirments

Qualifications:
  • FA/F.Sc with minimum 60% marks OR A-level in three main subjects (no subsidiary) with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate OR Grade 12 with minimum Grade B (60%) with Equivalence Certificate.
  • All candidates must appear for an aptitude test

Degree Requirments

To receive BS English Language & Literature, a student must complete a total of 130 credit hours with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.

Active Citizenship Program

Active Citizenship program offered by Kinnaird College in collaboration with British Council and HEC is a social leadership training program that promotes intercultural dialogue and community-led social development. It is a mandatory requirement for the completion of underGraduate degree and based on two semesters. All students will study the theoretical portion through different activities starting in their 3rd semester. They will plan their social action projects in 4th semester and implement it in the field.
